OUR HISTORY
A Beginning in Family

A family vineyard founded in 1934 by Felix, the grandfather, who had a small wine cellar with 20,000 L trolleys, selling most of the wine in bulk. In 1968 he takes the legacy of his son Francisco with a winery of cones with greater capacity and his own vineyards. Meanwhile, at age 14, his son Miguel A. begins to make his first broths.

 

In 1980 Miguel A. Aguado founded his own cellar with fiberglass deposits, gradually increasing capacity to 450,000 liters today. Thanks to your work and effort, as well as to its excellent stainless steel facilities, with shirts for controlled fermentation; Has achieved fame and national prestige. Medals and high scores in wine guides, surpassing the figure of 80 over 100.

The Ground, Our Passion

Our vineyard is located in Cabeza Toro and Dehesa estates, located in the Montes de Toledo region. The planting exceeds 13.5 hectares and is divided among grape varieties; Cencibel / Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Macabeo and Grenache.

 

With a capacity of 4,000 hl., Our winery is equipped with the latest technological advances for the treatment, maintenance and packaging of high quality wines.

OUR QUALITY
The Elaboration of the Product

The aging plant is subjected to an exhaustive control of temperature and humidity, where our aging and reserve wines are formed for several months in Bordeaux and American oak barrels.

 

This is how they acquire the classic roasted and vanilla aromas, later matured and rounded in bottle for 12 months, in the case of aging, and 24 months in the reserves.

Enjoy A Guided Tasting

Bodegas Miguel A. Aguado offers a guided tour, fresh and pleasant, which shows the history of the winery, as well as the process of wine production and preservation. At the end of the visit we give visitors a tasting of our wines.

 

In addition, we have direct sales to the public so that our flavors reach the home of our visitors. We recommend visiting places of charm and history close to our town, such as the Ermita de Santa María de Melque (7th century), or the Templar Castle of Montalbán (11th century).

 

In our town, you can enjoy a wide and rich gastronomy with products of the land, predominantly hunting dishes, such as partridge stew, hare with rice, and “Cocido”, one of the oldest and most exquisite dishes of area.
